Blog 8: A subject you enjoyed studying this semester

Hello everyone, this semester at the university was very strange. It was very difficult to pay attention or be very interested in the content. But Mondays were my favorite days. That day I had my wood construction clases. I have always liked wood because it is a living material. It is made up of cells and grows naturally around us. The classes were very dynamic and the content very interesting. I learned a lot about the material. I also learned how forestry companies work, and the damage they do to the ecosystem with monocultures.
The wood can be used for the most important structural elements in a building or in the smallest details, its uses are very varied. It also has incredible properties such as resistance, durability, workability, it is very cool. Also throughout the semester I had to investigate some wooden projects that are hundreds of years old and still in good condition. Like the Japanese temples that have more than 700 years of history.I hope to continue educating myself about wood and other materials and learn to use them in the best way.

Blog 7: A Career-Related Website

Hello, I studied architecture three years ago and at the beginning it was very difficult to have good ideas to design. Or find some reference that inspires me. I was looking for ideas on websites like pinterest, but one day a college friend showed me an architecture platform. It is a web page, spatialized in architecture. You can find architecture projects, articles on materials or urban planning. You can also contribute with personal publications. It always helps when I need to research or want to learn more. I usually visit the website every week to get inspired or because I have to do work and need specific information. I also like it because you can access it with your email, and the research articles you liked remain in the history. After a while, recognize your preferences and suggest certain topics that may be of more interest to you. The quality of the images is what I like the most about the architecture platform. Photos are not pixelated so it can be used for work or presentations. I hope you take some time and visit the website.

Hello everyone, today I will talk about my favorite movie. Before commenting on what it is, I want to say that I love cinema, my favorite hobby is watching movies, of all styles, of all ages and of all countries. This is why it is very difficult for me to select only one that I like too much. But it's definitely Dogville from director Lars Von Trier. It is a movie from 2004. The first time I saw this movie was because I found it on an internet blog, like you
It really is a very sad and dramatic story of a woman. Nicole Kidman plays the main character, a girl just arrived in a town, where there are very murky people and stories. I love the recording set. It is a large room that simulates the entire city, the houses do not have real walls, they are only delimited with drawings of architectural plants on the ground. The entire city is drawn on the ground. It is like watching a play. Obviously it has a very sad ending and the protagonist is not doing very well. I recommend you see it and that you enjoy and get excited for a while.
I hope you are very well and you do not leave home <3

Hi everyone,

I really like music and many types of music. I love how I feel in my body when I listen to a song that I like. Its difficult for me to decide which is my favorite musical artist but can mention artists who have changed my life.  When  I was a litte girl my mom loved Janis Joplin and on weekends we spent all day listening toher songs, at that time I didnt understand the lyrics of the song but it didn´t matter I sang strange words. Then I stopped listening to Janis for a while and discovered Beyonce.
After a while, when I was fifteen I found some cassettes stored in an old box. The recorded cassette songs were by janis joplin. As I was more adult I could understand what the lyrics of his songs said, and it caused me emotion, I did not live the same experiences as Janis but I could feel his pain. I like it not only for its music, but also because I feel a connection with my mom.

Hi friends,

Today I shows you a picture taken by me. It was in the summer of this year, in my garden.
My younger sister and my cat Oliver appear in the  photo. My sister hates photos and always makes ugly faces when they take a photo of her. But that day was different. She asked me to record that moment because it was the day the new kitten arrivied at the house. My cat called Oliver from the anime Oliver Atom,  the footballer boy.  Oliver is very adorable, he likes to sleep with me and wake me up at 6 to play with him, Its a real baby. In the summer, we would go out with my kitten and my sister for a walk. I would put a little harness on it. The truth is that I never liked doing it because I suffered a lot when a dog appeared. I thought he could run away fron the scare and get lost. Luckily that never happened and now  continues to give us love.

I hope you are well. Dont leave home c:

Blog 2: Why did you choose this career?

 HI,
When I was a child. I used to play being dentist, because I was very afraid of them. Years later  I didnt know what I want study , I liked plants and  nature  so  I chose agronomy, but after a few weeks I realized I didn't like it. At that same time I started to get interested in architecture, there were many things that caught my attention: First thing: you didn't have to draw beautiful. Second: architecture is art in permanent transformation  and finally: When you are an architect you can dedicate yourself to many things, you can do furniture, classes, social work.  it is very versatile and I love that.
In the future, I would like to do classes and researchs.  Maybe I go  south, work in a rural municipality and doing social house projects. The truth is that I am not clear now,  but I would like to do something like that.

UNTIL NEXT WEEK!

My autobiography

LET ME INTROCUDE MYSELF

I was born in December 3rd, 1996, in Pudahuel. When I was a child my father left my mom and me because he was a horse racing adiccted . But that does not affect me, I like horses. I grew up with my grandparents and them beautiful dog. It was a big black dog with enormous  teeth. Nowadays I am still living there.
When I was eighteen decided study agronomy at PUC , but I didn’t like it. However one  day I watched Roma, citta aperta, a movie of Roselini, wich show us the fragility of architecture and I loved it.
In my free time I enjoy ride my fixie over  the street, doing that  I have fallen several times, nothing serious.
Well that was a piece of my live. Bye
